One offshoot of the rise of analytics and data science has been easier ways for collecting, analysing and sharing data – and a lot of it using Open software. These ar being used by various organization to look at social and community issues.In this talk we will focus on the Data for Social Good movement and look at some examples of this in action. We also explore the various facets of this movement and discuss how it has the potential to transform the world we live in.
